TEAM KALEIGH are proud to organise this 10K Challenge fun run with the kind and generous support from The SIKHS IN THE CITY Running Club.
This event is aimed at raising funds for local girl, 7-year-old Kaleigh Lau’s future medical treatments and assist her fight against a rare and incurable brain tumour known as D.I.P.G. (Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma).
Our other goal is to try and increase awareness of this terrible illness which primarily affects young children and unfortunately, currently has a zero percent survival rate.
The Team Kaleigh 10K Challenge starts at 10am and comprises of 5 laps of an open road course (2.014km per lap). This course is officially measured and registered as the “Fauja Singh Training Course” The route is along public roads (Roding Lane South, Woodford Bridge Road and Woodford Avenue) with two marshalled road crossings and is relatively flat with one steady incline.
